Products & Materials

Remediation products we use

The repair mortars, coatings, membranes, sealants and anchoring systems Allied installs on concrete remediation, facade repair, roofing and waterproofing projects. 11 manufacturer ranges, 46 products, all installed to data sheet and recorded in our ITP documentation.

Systems, not single products

A concrete repair is only as durable as the weakest product in the chain. Reinforcement primer, bonding bridge, repair mortar and protective coating are tested by each manufacturer as a system, so Allied installs complete systems from one range rather than mixing brands within a repair.

The brands below are the ones our crews install week in, week out. Where a remedial engineer has specified a system, we price and install that specification. Where the choice is ours, we select based on the defect mechanism, substrate condition, exposure environment and the building's repair history, and we document the products used so future contractors can stay compatible.

Product questions, answered

Which remediation product brands does Allied Commercial use?
Allied regularly installs Sika, Fosroc (through Parchem), Dulux AcraTex, Mapei, Master Builders Solutions, Xypex, Ardex, Hilti, Ramset, Bostik and Vector galvanic anode systems. The brand on a given project is set by the remedial engineer's specification, the existing system on the building, and the exposure conditions. Our applicators hold current product training across all the major ranges, so we can price and deliver a specification from any of these manufacturers without substitution requests.
Can Allied match the product system already used on our building?
Yes. Staying within one manufacturer's system matters for warranty and compatibility: repair mortars, primers and coatings within a range are tested together. If your building was previously repaired with Sika, Fosroc or Mapei systems, we identify the existing products from past reports or on-site testing and continue with compatible materials, or document a full system change where the old products are obsolete.
Do manufacturer warranties apply to Allied installations?
Yes, where the manufacturer's application requirements are met. We install to the product data sheet: substrate preparation, primer selection, mixing ratios, wet film thickness and cure conditions are recorded in our ITP (inspection and test plan) records for each stage. On coating and membrane systems, this documentation supports manufacturer warranty terms of up to 15 years depending on the system and exposure.
Who chooses the repair products: Allied or the engineer?
On engineered remediation, the remedial engineer specifies the repair system and we install it, flagging any buildability or compatibility issues before work starts. On maintenance-scale repairs without an engineer, we recommend a system based on the defect type, substrate and exposure, and provide product data sheets with the quotation so the owner or strata committee can see exactly what will be installed.

Have a specification or a defect report?

Send it through. We price against the specified system, or recommend one with full product data sheets included in the quotation.
